Children like their routine and to have familiar surroundings about them otherwise they will let you know they are not happy. Will I be able to keep my little ones happy if there is a flight delay? What are the facilities like at the airport? Any parent whose has young children will all ask the same questions when travelling with young children.

There is a large room which can be located beside the baggage hall when travellers reclaim their luggage once they arrival at the airport. Another room can be found close to the departure lounge of international flights beside two of the bars called Bargo Wine Bar and the Drum and the Monkey bar. The first changing room can be found close to Starbucks cafe on the first floor of the main terminal. Parents can also locate changing rooms for their babies once they go air side. Most of the bathrooms throughout the airport building have units which we all familiar with which are mounted on the bathroom walls. At Glasgow Airport there are a number of changing facilities for babies.

Generally this area is aimed for children between 2 and 6 years old. Please note that parents require to supervise their children as the soft play is unmanned. Parents will be pleased to note there is an area set aside for play which can be found beside number 27A and 27B departure gates.

Parents can find play equipment which has Lego toys available for youngsters. Throughout the main terminal area there are various toys and games set aside to keep children happy.

The kids can watch all the goings on of the airport at the window close to the restaurant called Frankie and Benny's. Is our luggage on our plane, with the one question we all dread? They can watch as the luggage is loaded from the trucks onto the planes. Children of all ages can be kept busy watching the planes land and refuel ready for take. Which one amongst us does not like plane spotting.
